ENAN RACAN, cantor , compositor e instrumentista é mineiro,de Almenara – Vale do Jequitinhonha. Tem mais de 20 anos de estrada e um trabalho musical que reflete seu envolvimento com a MPB e suas nuances, com especial destaque aos ritmos afro-nordestinos como xotes baiões e afoxés. Iniciou sua carreira no Rio de Janeiro, tendo como padrinho artístico Geraldo Azevedo, e de lá viajou por inúmeras cidades brasileiras, até chegar a São Paulo, onde em 1993 gravou seu LP “SOS Terra” com o qual foi indicado para o prêmio Sharp como revelação da música regional brasileira. Em 1999 lançou pela gravadora Polygram seu CD “CANÇÃO DO TEMPO”, onde explorou seu lado de interprete, contando com participações especiais de Tânia Alves, 14 Bis e Milton Guedes, além dos arranjos de Ringo de Morais e produção de José Celso Guida. Atualmente Enan Racan divide seu tempo entre viagens pelo Brasil para divulgação de seu trabalho, participações especiais como músico e cantor do grupo TARANCON, além de investir horas em seu estúdio compondo e gravando canções que em breve deverão estar em seu novo CD. Nesta fase,Enan Racan tem buscado, também, se aprimorar no conhecimento musical, na pesquisa de instrumentos, na busca de tecnologia digital que lhe dê autonomia para gravações personalizadas e diferenciadas. ENAN RACAN é dono de uma voz marcante, prima por um trabalho de qualidade apurada e ao mesmo tempo de grande empatia popular. singer, songwriter and instrumentist is from the countryside, born in Minas Gerais, in the heartland of Brazil. His music career spans more than 20 years and his work reflects his commitment to MPB* and its nuances, with special influence of Afro-northeastern rhythms, such as "baião"* and "afoxé"*. He started his career in Rio de Janeiro, with Geraldo Azevedo as his artistic godfather, and from there he travelled all over Brazil, settling in São Paulo, where in 1993 he recorded his album "SOS Terra", for which he received a nomination for the "Sharp Award"* , in the "New Talent in Regional Music" category. In 1999 he released with Polygram his CD "CANÇÃO DO TEMPO", showing his talent as a performer, with special guests Tânia Alves, 14 Bis and Milton Guedes, and arrangements by Ringo de Morais and production by José Celso Guida. Nowadays, Enan Racan spends his time amid travels througout Brazil promoting his work, special appearances as a musician and vocalist of the latin popular band TARANCON, and employs hours in his studio composing and recording songs which soon will be in his new album. He is also seeking to improve his musical skills and knowledge through research of traditional and new musical instruments and in the search for digital and contemporary technology which gives him him autonomy to personalize and differentiate his own recordings. ENAN RACAN has an impressive and distinctive voice and excels for his outstanding and sophisticated work, achieving at the same time enormous popular appeal. Born in the countryside, raised all over Brazil, living in its major metropolis, he brings in himself the diversity and contrasts of this journey.
